Harness Fitting Instructions

Please read complete instruction before fitting

Before fitting the harness, fix the lap and diagonal seat belt around the seat as if there was a person sitting in it. The purpose of this is to ensure that if you have fold forward rear seat back, it will not break forward in an accident. Alternatively you may place the seat belt around the occupant after the harness is fitted. The seat belt must be in operation at all times.

Fitting.

The harness comes assembled. Lay it on a table to understand where the straps go before you detach anything. It looks more complicated than it is!

Take item (1), unhook it, place the adjustable strap end over the top of the car seat and pass the other end between the split in the cushion and the back. Attach each end together making sure they are not twisted. Repeat for the other strap marked (1). Pull the adjuster to take the slack out of the strap, not too tight as adjustments may have to be made at item (2) and (3).

Adjuster buckle item (2) needs to be a little higher than the occupants shoulder, it is difficult for me to explain the operation of moving it, but it will be come obvious when you look at how it moves up and down.

Adjuster buckle (3) works in the same way as (2). It may not have to be moved at all. It is best at this stage to place the booster cushion (4) on the seat as the thigh straps (5) need to be left long enough to go under the wings of the booster and fasten around the occupant.

The crotch strap in the booster cushion is adjustable for length. It should not be set too high, certainly no higher than the height of the wings on the booster cushion itself.

Finally, tighten item (1)

Buckles marked (6) are the final adjustment buckles for the occupant. Pull the ‘free’ strap to tighten, to release, place your thumb on the thick part of the buckle and squeeze the top sprung part of the buckle with your two middle fingers, this releases the webbing and allows you to pull it back.
